Chandigarh, March 31
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gulkirat Kaur Panag today said she would strive to ensure that spending of the allocated budget was planned in consultation with people. She added that execution of projects would be overseen by citizen committees.
During her election campaign today, she interacted with residents of Sector 38. She also visited the markets of Sector 30 and 32 and spoke to shoppers and shopkeepers urging them to vote her to victory.
Panag said, "Ours is an honest party with humble means .We don't have a budget to organise big rallies or ferry people by buses or trucks. Public response to our campaign has been spontaneous and overwhelming. It speaks volumes about their commitment to the AAP's fight against corruption."
In the evening, Panag visited Palsora village and Sector 55 where she emphasised that the AAP's ideology was of Swaraj and a truly participatory democracy.
