AAP takes out motor rally in Mohali

Mohali, February 1
The local unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a Chetna motor rally here today. The rally was held with a motive to initiate campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. On the occasion, more than 300 four-wheelers and two-wheelers covered over 10 km of distance in the town.

The participants carrying national flag and broom, the party’s symbol, raised patriotic slogans during the rally.

Terming their maiden attempt a successful one, the AAP district in charge and convener, Ajit Singh Bhambra, said they received a tremendous response from masses during their rally.

The rally began from Phase XI at around 11.45 am and reached at Phase VI after covering Phase IX, VIII, VII, III-B1, III-B2, V, II and I. A small meeting was also organised at Phase VI to apprise masses of the motive and objectives of the party. “We have enrolled over 30,000 members in our party in Mohali,” said Bhambra. — TNS
