YouTube video of Kejriwal interview goes viral after he criticises media

In the video, Kejriwal is seen instructing the TV anchor to highlight certain aspects of the discussion.

NEW DELHI: A day after accusing the media of taking money from industrialists to give publicity to the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal found himself embroiled in a controversy.

A YouTube video showing him requesting a TV channel's anchor to emphasise certain aspects of the interview went viral on social networking sites on Monday.

In the video, after the interview was over, Kejriwal is seen telling the reporter to highlight certain aspects of the TV discussion.

"Please play it up more," he tells the TV anchor referring to his opinion on the Indian corporate during the interview.

The interviewer promptly agrees to the request. The interview replies, "Yes, we will play it up. The Bhagat Singh (comment) is good. We will get a lot of reaction to this."

Earlier Kejriwal had accused the media of taking money from industrialists Ambani and Adani to give publicity to the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

"Media has been claiming for the last one year that Modi has carried out a lot of development work. Media is lying because they have taken money from Ambani and Adani," Kejriwal had said. (With inputs from agencies)
